Rhetorical Analysis

Reflection on my rhetorical analysis.

For this Project, I was asked to perform a rhetorical analysis on a multimodal text of my choice concerning a current social injustice topic. The text that I chose was a short film funded by the company Procter and Gamble. The film focuses on the black stories that are not told in modern media and tries to exemplify this for the viewer. The style of this essay was something I’m familiar with as it was mostly objective and factual. While writing, I really wanted to focus on analyzing the subtleties of the film and try to convey what they meant. The solution was difficult to write as there is no clear way to fix the bias that exists in media, especially when it’s the viewers who decide what continues to be produced. The feedback I received from Dr. Metzger for this project was very helpful in understanding how to properly analyze sources and it also gave me a better understanding of the topic for my next project.
